Our Elders

Mike Haskett

Mike has served as Willow Oak’s Preaching Elder since the church began in 2003. He and his wife, Ellen, helped plant the church with a heart for serving God, teaching His Word, and helping people grow in faith.

Mike earned a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Leadership from Kentucky Christian University and is also a practicing optometrist. Outside of church, he enjoys sports, bluegrass and gospel music, and time outdoors on the farm with his family.

Kenny Carr

Kenny has been part of Willow Oak since 2003 and has served as an Elder since 2015. He has been deeply involved in encouraging and investing in our youth over the years.

Kenny is married to Lynn, has two children, and is a big sports fan — especially when it comes to the UNC Tar Heels.

Waverly has been part of Willow Oak for many years and has served as an Elder since 2022. He is a steady and faithful presence in our church family, often serving behind the scenes through AV, grounds work, and wherever else help is needed.

Waverly is married to Melissa and enjoys spending time outdoors, bird watching, and tinkering with projects around his home and outside.

Andrew has served as an Elder at Willow Oak since 2015. He brings a steady and faithful presence to our church leadership and helps care for our church family.

Andrew is married to Kelly, and they have two sons. Outside of church, he enjoys spending time outdoors and with family.
